It is not every day that one celebrates 30 years attending one of the most important events in the aluminium sectorThat is why Cortizo decided to celebrate its three decades being part of Veteco by presenting over twenty new products. The results were exceptional, as nearly 9,000 attendees visited the stand of the multinational , where they could verify the quality and performance of its new products.

In this edition, the company focused on solutions aimed at the international market, including systems designed to withstand extreme weather conditions such as hurricanes or tropical storms, typical of Caribbean countries and the east coast of the United States. “Many clients from Latin America consider this exhibition a reference and know that our designs achieved strict North American certifications tested in our test benches”, stated Javier Figueroa, Marketing Director, during the event.

Among the systems designed for the American continent, it is worth highlighting the Wind Speedconceived for withstanding wind loads over 80 Psf, and the Window Wall façade systemThis floor-to-ceiling façade solution has achieved the MIAMI-DADE-NOA certification after successfully passing impact, air, water, and wind tests, conducted under one of the most restrictive standards in the world.

Additionally, visitors had the chance to learn about the new updates the firm presented for the African market. The most relevant one is the Jalousies window system, equipped with movable glass or aluminium louvres, where the opening and closing is adjusted by the different positions of the handle, allowing for optimal ventilation of the spaces.

Cortizo’s range of fire-resistant productswas also showcased at Veteco. Millennium FR doors, with Ei₂ 30, 60 and 90 classifications, were the most popular solution, since they are able to delay the spread of flames and heat for up to one and a half hours. This part of the exhibition also featured a SHEV system tested and certified by IFT Rosenheim, and conceived to evacuate heat and gases in the event of a fire, improving visibility and safety.

Another showcased solution was the COR Vision EVO, a new version of the traditional COR Vision, with an interlock of 25 mm that opens up to infinite views, only enhanced by a closing system that allows the sashes to be embedded peripherally. Large panoramic views are also well received in areas with harsh climates, and that is why the 4600 Plus Lift & Slide system, designed to cover large openings while ensuring great thermal performance, was also displayed at Veteco. With a Uw transmittance value of only 0.65 W/m²K, it positions itself as one of the options with the best performance on the market.

Cortizo’s stand at Ifema also gave the customers the chance to explore the firm’s wide range of PVC products. Among others, standout systems included the A78 Hinged and the revamped E 170 Lift & Slide, a series that has evolved towards the minimalism reducing the sash perimeter sightlines and incorporating an interlock of only 50 mm.
