The VIEW CRYSTAL balustrade by CORTIZO is characterized by an attractive minimalist design in accordance with the architectural trends of the moment, responding to the highest safety requirements of the Spanish Construction Code (CTE) and Eurocode 1, without being deprived of the best views. This system is based on an "U" shaped aluminium profile that holds tempered laminated glass only on its lower part. It can be installed indoors and outdoors, and has a drainage system that allows water to be evacuated from exposed balconies.
It allows for 12 glazing possibilities (double laminated glass of 10, 8 or 6 mm joined by up to 4 polyvinyl butyrals of 0.38 mm) and 4 installation options (Over slab, edge slab, flush edge slab or edge invested slab). It is available in any type of finish, machined (at 6 m) or unmachined (at 6.1 m) and is available in two versions:

~VIEW CRYSTAL. It resists a load of 1.0 kN/m applied to 1.1 m from its bottom part, suitable for use in the following areas according to the Spanish Construction Code (CTE): A1, A2, B, C1, C2, D1, D2 and G. In EU countries that do not have their own building regulations, it will be obligatory to comply with the specifications of Eurocode 1. Thus, the VIEW CRYSTAL balustrade meets the requirements of the European standard for use categories where resistance of ≤1.0 kN/m is required: A, B, C1, C2, C3, C4, D, E.

~VIEW CRYSTAL PLUS. Reinforced system capable of supporting a load of 3.0 kN/m applied at 1.1 m from its bottom part, suitable for use in all areas of the Spanish Construction Code (CTE). In the case of Eurocode 1, zone C5 is added to the areas of use foreseen for the VIEW CRYSTAL version, this zone refers to spaces susceptible to receive large masses such as concert halls, sports arenas or train platforms. This version also allows the installation flush with the slab.

It should be noted that the VIEW CRYSTAL balustrade, in addition to meeting the Spanish CTE and Eurocode 1 regulations, has achieved a “CLASS A EXCELLENT” classification according to the UNE 85240: 1990 standard, after successfully passing the 4 additional voluntary tests following the indications of UNE 85237: 1991 and UNE 85238: 1991: static horizontal test towards the exterior and towards the interior, dynamic test with mild object and dynamic test with hard object.
